TRANSITION TEAM

Central Falls Mayor-Elect Maria Rivera has appointed a Transition Team to ensure a smooth transition toward her Inauguration as Mayor on January 4, 2020.  Thanks to the gracious cooperation of Mayor James Diossa, the team will begin its work on Monday, November 16.  The team is going to examine which policies and programs are of greatest importance to our city and how to best implement Mayor-Elect Rivera's bold agenda for Central Falls moving forward.

• Familiarize themselves with the city's existing programs and organizational structure.
• Establish goals and objectives for each department and detail specific strategies to achieve these goals.
• Identify programs which are successful, which programs need to be strengthened, energized or otherwise revamped, and which may be inconsistent with the new administration's priorities.
• Establish an anticipated timeline for completion
• Create short term and intermediate benchmarks in order to measure progress.

•  Explore increased community support, attention of key business or community leaders, or further research into the scope of the problem.
• Assess resources available in the city's budget.
• Identify further funding opportunities within the state budget, state agencies and/or with private funders.
